baby ava

When I showed up to photograph this gorgeous baby I was a bit nervous…yes, I admit I still get a few jitters until I start to photograph. But this session was different, you see her Mom is a photographer as well as a friend. The pressure of photographing some of my peers is nerve racking. I thought for sure baby Ava’s Mom would have a clear and definite vision of what she wanted and I was hoping to deliver exactly that! So when I asked her she said “no, do exactly what you do.” I was kind of left with a blank mind. Then I thought a bit and thought of exactly the kind of images I would love for my family and did just that. No props, no backdrops just raw, true love! I hope you all love them because this family was the true definition of unconditional love.

I love when new Moms just literally inhale the smell of their new baby! It is truly intoxicating! A feeling I will always remember!

Thank you to baby Ava’s family for welcoming me into your home to document this beautiful time in your lives. She is beautiful and a true gift from above!

And I have to thank you all because this session may have altered my photography forever. I may not be the prop girl or have the best backgrounds but what I do want to accomplish is what she told me to do. This photography is me.
