As I and my family have watched the news, heard the stories, made adjustments, and settled into a new normal over the past month, I have often thought about what I can do. It can seem rather impossible, in the face of everything, to try and make a difference to many, but perhaps I can make a difference to two. Two people who may be facing a lot of unknown. Two people who were planning to begin their lives together, but are now left with a canceled wedding date. Whose budget may not be the same after job loss or income change due to COVID-19. Two people who are still just as excited and hopeful to begin their lives together and wait patiently to know what is to come. Two people who are hoping and praying for their own future and the life they imagine in the face of this unprecedented time.
With my camera in hand, my hope is to bring joy to a deserving couple in the midst of all of the current heartache, worry, and fear. That I can in some way help ease a bit of the financial burden and stress they might be facing along with so much unknown. And that they can have their start to forever documented the way they had envisioned from the start. Photographs that they will one day show their grandchildren, tell their love story and the obstacles overcome in the face of a historical pandemic in the year of 2020.

If you or a couple you know is facing unforeseen struggle and circumstances in the face of COVID-19 and has had to postpone or cancel their wedding or even adjust their budget because of loss of income, this giveaway is for you. Ready to enter? Here are the rules to apply:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must be engaged.
- Vow renewals are not eligible to win.
- All entries must be received no later than May 17th, 2020.
- Your wedding must take place in the general Santa Barbara/San Luis Obispo area and it must take place within the next year (because of current situations, this is subject to change and will be worked out with the recipient).
- I must also have the date available.
I will announce three finalists on May 18th and be sharing their stories here for the voting portion of the competition. The finalists are encouraged to invite family and friends to vote in their honor. The winning couple (based off of final votes) will be announced on 20th.
